Project Fundraisning
Many of our volunteers choose to raise additional funds on top of their volunteer fees to support specific projects. Examples of recent projects are installation of a well and water pump, re-painting inside and out of the main building, erection of shelves for storage of the children’s clothes, and currently underway is a chicken rearing project which will bring in a quarterly revenue.If you are volunteering then you may prefer to arrive with your fundraising money in hand and liaise with Rev. Kenneth face-to-face, to decide how to best use the funds.
Otherwise you can liaise with us in advance by e-mail and we can let you know what current projects are available for you to choose from and the approximate costs. Having a specific project that you can talk about can help enormously when fundraising, and of course gives a clear target to aim for.
Either way, fundraising for projects helps us immensely in getting a few extra steps ahead. Certainly we would otherwise be unable to implement projects which aid us in becoming more self sufficient, were it not for your efforts in fundraising.
